I have always been fascinated by the moment when someone stands in front of a work of art — intrigued, moved, sometimes even captivated — and yet unsure whether they are “allowed” to go further. To ask questions, to consider buying, to trust their instinct.

Over time, I have observed how many intelligent, curious and financially capable people feel intimidated by the art world. Not because they lack sensitivity. Not because they lack taste. But because the system often feels opaque. Prices are rarely transparent, galleries can feel distant and the codes are unspoken.

Collecting emerging art should not feel like entering a closed circle without a guide.

And yet, it often does.

A Space Built on Selection and Dialogue

The Collector’s Folio was born from a simple conviction: emerging art deserves both discernment and dialogue.

I am not building a traditional gallery. And I am not building a marketplace.

I am building a curated space.

A space where selection is intentional. Where each artist is chosen carefully.Where context matters as much as the work itself.

Curation is not about quantity. It is about coherence.

At the same time, I am deeply attentive to the fragility of that moment in an artist’s trajectory — when the work is evolving, refining its language, searching for the right audience.

Behind every emerging artist, there are years of experimentation, uncertainty, persistence.

Creating meaningful visibility for those practices matters to me.

Not exposure for the sake of exposure but context, dialogue, respect.

Bridging Artists and Collectors

I believe the relationship between artist and collector should not feel transactional. It should feel intentional.

When someone chooses to live with a work of art, they are not simply acquiring an object. They are supporting a practice, a vision, a trajectory.

The Collector’s Folio exists to build that bridge.

On one side: artists who are building something sincere and ambitious. On the other: collectors who want to engage with art thoughtfully and confidently.

My role is to look carefully, to select with rigor, to provide clarity where there is hesitation.

Not to dictate taste — but to sharpen it.

What You Can Expect

This newsletter will be the heart of the project.

Here, you can expect:

– Thoughtful presentations of emerging artists– Carefully curated monthly selections– Insight into how to approach collecting with discernment– Conversations that create proximity rather than distance– Occasional reflections on building this project with transparency

This is not about speed, it is about coherence.

The project will grow patiently — through dialogue, selection and long-term relationships.

A Personal Note

I am building The Collector’s Folio because I believe emerging art deserves attention that is both rigorous and human.

Collecting art should be an act of curiosity and conviction — not anxiety.

If you are curious about emerging art, if you want to look more closely, if you want to build a collection that reflects your sensibility rather than trends, you are welcome here.

This is the beginning of a long conversation.

Pourquoi j’ai créé The Collector’s Folio
